Building Maintenance Engineer - Commercial Office – two locations; Aliso Viejo and Santa Ana
We are looking for a full-time, on-site building maintenance engineer to join our team to service two job sites. Site #1 is located in Aliso Viejo and Site #2 is in Santa Ana, California. Site #1 consists of 2 buildings with roof-top box cars and DDC VAV while #2 consists of 6 small buildings with both split and packaged heat pumps for HVAC systems. You will be working with off-site property management, so experience in commercial office building maintenance and independent work is a requirement.
As a maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing daily rounds throughout the buildings and responding to tenant calls
- Conducting preventive maintenance on the HVAC system and other equipment
- Observing and coordinating with contractors that are called in to conduct repair work on the major systems
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the maintenance manager
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Legal right to work in the State of California
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in facility maintenance /building engineering.
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as traveling between sites is required.
- A general working knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, lighting, plumbing, security, safety, and other general building systems
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with tenants, management, and contractors
The pay range for this position is between $50 and $60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. The shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 4 pm.
