SAIC has an opportunity for a Software Asset Specialist to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to collect proof of purchase, invoice documents, and identify part numbers to authorize installation of software products.
NOTE: This is a 100%, Remote / Work from Home position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Process tickets and queue requests to support the needs of the business
- Collect and enter data into Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite and process/link to software licenses to create a holistic license position. Enters and maintains all required data in a timely and accurate fashion
- Identify unlicensed software on assets and prepare recommendations to communicate risk exposure to management
- Function as an initial point of contact to customer inquiries related to end-user license agreements, terms of contracts, maintenance/service schedules/cost, and any other information related to software license management
- Maintain vendor license data and download the required software products and updates from vendor sites in support of application packaging activities
- Support audit activities (internal, external and self-audits) to demonstrate compliance and prepare recommendations on remediation activities
- Prepare and submit purchase packages for maintenance, support and renewals to meet customer requirements
- Submit and participate Software Lifecycle (End-of-Life/End-of-Support) and License Management process improvement activities
- Provide data manipulation and analysis for license management reports and metrics
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience interpreting purchase orders, invoicing documents, and identifying part numbers
- Knowledge of Flexera and Software Asset Management (SAM) tools
- Understanding of the use of a configuration management database and configuration items
- Understand basic IT components (infrastructure, software, PCs, Databases) and how they interact
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
- Must be a current US Citizen
Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
