SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Military Advisor to join our team at the Rock Island Arsenal, IL.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The selected candidate will participate as part of team focused on providing training to soldiers to ensure and improve working knowledge of key systems such as Mission Command Information Systems, and Enterprise Services and Tactical Communication Systems. The selected candidate will possess demonstrated experience, skills and in-depth knowledge of National Guard mobilizations, home-station training, and pre-/post-mobilization training requirements. As a Military Advisor, the candidate will participate in planning events, support staff in conferences and meetings, and provide advisement regarding operational events, training, and mobilizations.
Candidate must be willing to work in the training environment and operational conditions. Work requirements may exceed the standard workday to include supporting 24-hour Army operations. CONUS travel up to 50% is required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Experience in Army Tactical Communication Systems (WIN-T and TACSAT)
Experience in Army Mission Command Systems
Prior service as a Signal Officer (25A)
Operational experience in a forward deployed battalion (or higher)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Understanding of the Sustainment Readiness Model
Understanding of National Guard mobilization processes
Knowledge of Defense Support for Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations
Knowledge of network compliance and services simulating real-world combat environment
