The Position
Complete engineering project activities within safety, quality, environmental, budget scope & schedule requirements. Complete assigned engineering support, projects & project tasks within cost, quality & schedule requirements.

Essential Functions
- Provide engineering design support for equipment and facility interfaces/integration
- Perform engineering design calculations & drawing redlines to complete the design to include responsibility for punch walk of their respective packages on site along with redlines and walks with relevant stakeholders and construction manager
- Identify, specify & select applicable equipment
- Perform all work in accordance with applicable SOPs, cGMPs, corporate standards, state & federal laws/regulations
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve & document equipment startup problems
- Coordinate with Project Managers Construction Managers, & Engineers in the execution of project activities
- Lead the execution & management of projects, as assigned
- Review contract Terms & Conditions & Service Contract Proposal evaluations
- Support timely closure of change requests, test plans, qualifications & non-conformities
- Develop & execute projects
- Create detailed bid packages for projects
- Responsible for adherence to mechanism for monitoring project progress, intervention & problem solving with other line managers or personnel
- Responsible for information exchange to external personnel & companies
- Responsible for communications to internal customers, external vendors/partners, & management
- Assist with any training required of personnel supporting the project
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university required with a minimum of two (2) years of proven engineering design experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- May consider an Associate’s degree in engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of four (4) years of proven engineering design experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of six (6) years of proven engineering design experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- General or basic understanding of all construction trades required
- Ability to read/review/modify design drawings with understanding of P&ID, HVAC, Architectural &/or Electrical systems preferred
- Understanding of complicated product documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to detail preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing facilities, equipment, & maintenance preferred
- Basic understanding of contractual documents & ability to create work plans & detailed project schedules a plus
- General Knowledge of production processes, including applicable hazards preferred
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, etc), AutoCad, BIM required
- Knowledgeable of one or more Utilities systems to include but not limited to; Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Chilled Water or Glycol systems, Plant Steam, WFI & Clean Steam preferred
- Basic understanding of planning/organizing, managing execution & revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams preferred
- Knowledge of Safety Requirements in construction, operations, and maintenance a plus
