Looking ahead, FCT is actively pursuing growth opportunities in Iowa and the Midwest.  It's projected that trillions of assets and wealth will transfer between generations in the coming years.  FCT is favorably positioned to serve clients and partners in this massive generational wealth transfer. We are seeking a talented  Financial Advisor who is looking to contribute to a growing wealth management and trust firm.  This individual will be responsible for creating and growing long-term, trusted relationships with prospects, clients and credit union partners in Central Iowa.  Additionally, this individual will proactively develop new opportunities while managing the day to day administration of trusts, estates, agencies and IRAs.. Our ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and passion for service and helping people define and attain their financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships with existing clients to identify additional opportunities.
• Manage client relationships to generate innovative solutions and create an above and beyond experience.
• Actively calls on potential clients to identify needs, make proposals for new business and secure new relationships.
• Develop and maintain a referral network to build and grow relationships and new business opportunities.
• Stay informed of new developments and offer new solutions to enhance services.
• Deeply understand clients needs to develop strategies that exceed clients' expectations.
• Effectively manages assigned accounts in a consistent manner that meets the needs of principals, beneficiaries and remaindermen.
• Setup of new accounts and determines the amount of payments, tax liabilities and arranges accountings and distribution.
• Provides account administration and maintenance which includes special distributions, planning and approving expenditures.
• Ensures accurate administration of assigned accounts to ensure account meets all compliance standards.
• Manages account administration activities and responds and resolves client's needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required or prior experience in related field.
• Prior experience within financial services or trust environment preferred.
• Ability to develop, create and grow new and existing relationships.
• Experience achieving reasonable annual new asset and performance goals.
• Active in community and business organizations.
• Strong interpersonal skills: The ability to influence, motivate and proactively build relationships.
• Ability to help others resolve problems and make recommendations.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
