Job description
Support client’s classified aerospace customer(s) by providing systems and storage technical support to high-side team in SCIF environment.
Seeking a Systems Administrator on an IT Infrastructure team responsible for the following:
- Daily support of Windows, VMware ESX, and VxRail production, test, and development environments
- Provide support of the application infrastructure running on Windows servers
- Provide support of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, etc.
- Provide daily server support for the email and instant messaging environment.
- Responsible for maintaining the health and wellbeing of the current storage infrastructure
- Administration and implementation of EMC based SAN/NAS Storage Systems based on client requirements; in particular EMC Isilon
- Help write tools to analyze system performance for our robotic tape libraries (like Spectra Logic)
- Migration of storage systems from older to newer generation-based systems
- Installation and configuration of new storage systems and environments
- Conduct periodic performance analysis and fine tune the overall performance
- Execute incident management, change management and problem management in line with ITIL Standards
- Track Storage Systems' Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively
- Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery
- Must be security conscious
- Self-starters and have the aptitude to work independently in a fast paced continuously evolving environment
- Monitor and remediate system backup issues
A Bachelor’s Degree Required (4 yrs experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree) and minimum of 5 years of IT experience in a mixed OS environment Windows, Unix, VMWare but at least 3 yrs in Storage:
- Windows Administration and Engineering supporting and utilizing all of the above
- Experience with Brocade switches
- Experience with SAN and/or NAS; ability to learn EMC Isilon
- Proficient knowledge of other related disciplines
- Proficient with requirements management & system modeling tools
- Recognizes various architectural patterns
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and effectively handle complex assignments
- Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction
- Proficient ability in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
- Ability to work as in a SCIF Environment
Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI required (CI Poly clearance preferred)
Certification Requirement: DoD 8570.1M compliant CompTIA Security + required
- Knowledgeable on Spectra Logic tape backup system
- EMC’s Isilon, specifically Network Area Storage (NAS)
- Familiarity with administering Nimble storage arrays
