1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Blountville, Tennessee is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The current GM / Head PGA Professional is planning to retire in the fall of next year and is looking for the right person to train for his replacement. This position will train under the GM / Head PGA professional and will function as his first assistant during the training process.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Supervise golf club house operations which includes snack bar sales, merchandise sales, and guest services.
• Oversee all departments and staff including golf shop, carts, and food and beverage.
• Work closely with the agronomy department to insure optimal course conditions and communication.
• Train all team members in the club house operations to provide outstanding customer service. Highly trained staff will help increase service levels in all facets including greetings, presentation, and aspects of anticipating guest needs.
• Plan and oversee all tournaments and associated operations for members, outside groups. Growth of events and community engagement opportunities is expected in order to grow the business.
• Plan for/ oversee merchandise purchasing using good inventory controls. Base inventory on market trends to increase sales.
• Plan for/ oversee snack bar and menu which includes inventory and quality control. Similarly, alcohol sales. Keeping proper inventories in order to maximize sales and profitability.
• Coordinate with office staff on all sales, receivables, and payables. Maintain the POS system and follow all cash and credit card handling policies and ensure staff are properly trained and managed.
• Consistently ensures the golf course operations are being conducted in accordance with city, state, and federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.
• Orders all food, alcohol, supplies, merchandise, and other sale items needed to run the club house. Maintains good inventory controls and makes sure to provide the best selection possible within the constraints of the operating budget.
• Maintains an attractive, orderly appearance in the club house.

Requirements:
Seeking either a current PGA professional or a capable individual that will be a good fit with the course and ownership, and is committed to attaining PGA membership within the next 2 years.
Current PGA member.
Associate PGA member.

Compensation:
$30,000.00 – $35,000.00 per year.
