Job description
Collaborate with the director of Arts Engagement on conceptualizing and implementing the theme and programs for Festival of the Arts.
Collaborate on strategies and operations that increase participation in and awareness of the Festival of the Arts, including social media and other communications efforts.
Provide administrative support for purchasing and reimbursements.
Prepare and monitor several different project timelines, keeping work on track and working with the director of Arts Engagement to resolve issues.
Attend regular meetings with the director of Arts Engagement and other collaborators.
Manage the production of deliverables in line with the project timelines, coordinating closely with internal stakeholders and consultants/vendors.
Account for weekly (January-March) and then daily (April) progress toward project completion.
Contribute to documentation and evaluation of the festival.Â
The hours are flexible, with a lighter workload from January through March (up to 10 hours a week), increasing in April (up to 20 hours a week), and decreasing in May (about 5-10 hours a week).
Essential experience: Must be familiar with processes of producing visual and performing arts; able to communicate effectively with diverse communities and age groups; and have demonstrated commitment to equity and access. Will work remotely, with occasional time on campus in compliance with Brandeis health and safety protocols.
