Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a PROJECT MANAGER for a full-service ground engineering company. In this role, you will p rovide overall management direction for assigned project(s) in accordance with safety regulations, design, budget and schedule while having responsibility for planning, organizing and staffing key positions in coordination with Area Manager and Operations. Activities and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and staff key field positions through regional department heads, subordinate project managers, construction managers, etc.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
- Assist in contract negotiation and oversees subcontractor procurement.
- Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities.
- Be responsible for pre-job planning and scheduling.
- Create and review job budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
- Coordinate, review and submit project change orders, extra work orders, and back charge documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all required EHS regulations.
- Monitor overall quantity and quality of work performed.
- Assume additional responsibilities per Supervisor’s direction.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-6 years experience as Project Engineer or Project manager in deep foundations projects and heavy construction.
- OSHA 30-hrs Construction Training; First-Aid/CPR.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
- Significant business skill required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
