Job description

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for an experienced Human Resources Recruiter. With a 60+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

SCOPE

The Recruiter III is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent to support our company’s growth and objectives. You will work closely with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Y ou will also represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with hiring managers to understand roles, requirements, and business objectives.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and tools, including Boolean searches and Linkedin Recruiter
• Screens resumes (internal/external candidates), conducts telephone screenings and schedules interviews.
• Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
• Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain accurate candidate records, track recruitment metrics, and generate reports for analysis.
• Develop and execute university recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
• Represent the organization at career fairs, information sessions, and other recruitment events at universities and colleges.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
• Extends verbal and written job offers.
• Communicates important employment information during delivery of job offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, medical/drug screening).
• Coordinates background checks and new hire medical/drug screening.
• Processes new hire documentation.
• Maintains weekly report on new hires and monthly HR metrics via Excel and PowerPoint.
• Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
2. Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in a university or corporate setting.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong networking abilities with the capability to build relationships with students, faculty, and university administrators.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
7. Willingness to travel to different universities and colleges as needed.
