We are seeking a Technical Support staff member to join our team.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation : Oversee the fabrication, maintenance, and operation of instruments and equipment, ensuring their functionality and efficiency. Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
- Facilities Maintenance : Maintain the upkeep of facilities, including buildings, laboratories, and workspaces. Coordinate with relevant personnel to address maintenance issues, repairs, and renovations.
- Technical Support Services : Provide technical support services such as computer support, audio-visual (A/V) support, drafting assistance, material handling, stock room management, and shipping/receiving tasks.
- Computer Support : Assist users with computer-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance. Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and peripherals.
- Audio-Visual (A/V) Support : Set up and maintain audio-visual equipment for meetings, presentations, and events. Troubleshoot A/V systems, projectors, sound systems, and related equipment as needed.
- Drafting Assistance : Assist in drafting and technical drawing tasks, including creating and revising engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Material Handling and Inventory Management : Manage material handling tasks, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, equipment, and materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Shipping and Receiving : Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, labeling, and tracking shipments. Inspect incoming/outgoing goods for damage and verify shipment accuracy.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when operating equipment, handling materials, and performing maintenance tasks. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, technical support requests, inventory transactions, and other relevant activities.
- Technical Expertise : Possess technical skills and knowledge relevant to equipment fabrication, maintenance, and operation, as well as facility management and technical support services.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail : Pay close attention to detail when performing maintenance tasks, handling equipment, managing inventory, and documenting information to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Computer Proficiency : Proficient in computer systems, software applications, and technical tools relevant to the role, including CAD software, computer troubleshooting utilities, and inventory management systems.
- Communication Skills : Communicate effectively with colleagues, users, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements, provide support, and convey information clearly and concisely.
