Job Summary:
Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Specialist to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. This role is integral to our team, requiring direct involvement in various aspects of inventory management, order processing, and overall warehouse upkeep. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail to our fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management : Conduct thorough organization and auditing of inventory to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Efficiently locate and mark items, making certain that all inventory lists are understandable and easily accessible. Regularly update inventory records using computer software, necessitating proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and effective email communication.
- Receiving and Shipping Operations : Skillfully handle the receipt of containers and oversee the entire shipping process.
- Order Processing : Accurately process orders utilizing logistics services such as UPS, FedEx, or LTL carriers.
- Equipment Operation : Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Product Assembly : Assemble lighting fixtures according to specific requests, upholding high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Packaging and Labeling : Perform secure packaging of products and ensure their labeling is accurate and compliant with shipping requirements.
- Lighting Assembly : Follow precise order instructions to assemble lighting fixtures, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background : Possession of a Associate or an equivalent qualification.
- Independent Work Ethic : Ability to work independently as the sole warehouse staff member, with potential for advancement to warehouse manager.
- Forklift Operation : Must have proficiency in operating a Crown stand-up forklift.
- Experience Requirement : A minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse setting or in a role within a similar industrial or logistical environment.
- Material Handling Expertise : Demonstrated proficiency in operating a range of material handling equipment, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
- Organizational and Detail-Oriented Abilities : Strong organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Communication and Team Collaboration : Effective communication skills, essential for coordinating with other team members, management, and external contacts, even in a largely independent role.
- Computer Literacy : Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software, are necessary for managing records and processing information.
- Physical Fitness : Physical ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 75 pounds, reflecting the physical demands of the role.
