nformation System Security Auditor (Information Assurance Specialist II, (IAT-II))

Location: Portsmouth NH - ( Onsite for two weeks then remote ) - Travel Expense Paid and later once a week in quarter if required

Clearance: Interim Secret or Secret or TS

Certification: CompTIA SEC+ or Equivalent

Description: The successful candidate will provide computer network defense and information assurance for the networks to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer IT systems and data on the unclassified networks.

Work will be performed at designations within the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH.

Duties: The successful candidate will, at a minimum, perform the following functions.

A. Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and develop remediation strategies for System Administrator (SA) implementation.

B. Assist SAs in troubleshooting security and network problems.

C. Plan, implement, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization s data, systems and networks.

D. Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities and assist in creating counteractive strategies to protect the network.

E. Conduct efficient and effective IT audit procedures.

F. Prepare briefings for management and employees to be delivered in the weekly status report.

G. Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations to SAs to help resolve findings.

H. Review, evaluate and test application controls.

I. Provide recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks.

J. Review and monitor system security posture and requirements primarily outlined but not limited to CTOs, TASKORD, OPORD, IAVs, STIGs and other downward directed orders for system hardening.

Education: CompTIA Sec+ & Nice to ACAS Certification or willing to take

Experience: 3-7 years of relevant/recent experience with log auditing
