National Sales and Distribution Leader

About the Company
Dialect Imports LLC ( is a recently launched importer of Italian wines. The Company has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). It offers a geographically diverse initial portfolio, including established winemakers, along with up-and-coming producers who represent the best of what Italian wines offer. We are particularly interested in wineries featuring women as winemakers or in other principal roles. The initial portfolio includes 12 Italian wineries with ~60 labels and two private label offerings. There is a queue of additional wineries with similar attributes ready to join the portfolio. We're excited to be the exclusive importer for some of these producers as they enter the US market for the first time.

About the Opportunity
We seek a dynamic, entrepreneurial-individual based in Florida to lead our sales and distribution efforts. This individual will play a pivotal role in building our market presence, driving sales growth, managing distribution channels across the state, and soon building a sales team. This is a full-time, remote position, with a preference for candidates in the Tampa Bay region. Compensation range is $100,000 to $125,000, including base, revenue-driven incentives, paid holidays, and paid time off with the potential for a meaningful equity position in the Company. Title and base compensation are flexible.

Responsibilities & Duties
Strategic Planning
Developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Dialect’s goals and objectives. Identifying market opportunities, defining target markets, and creating plans to maximize revenue and market share.
Business development
Developing strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance the company's market position and offerings. Leading business development initiatives, seeking new partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities for growth, evaluating expansion options, and negotiating strategic alliances to drive business growth.
Customer relationship management
Building and maintaining strong relationships with on and off-premise customers. Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities to drive sales.
Represent the company at industry and tasting events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance visibility and build relationships within the wine community.
Manage distribution logistics, including but not limited to: inventory levels, order fulfillment, and delivery schedules. Developing systems to ensure timely and efficient product availability.
Sales management
Driving sales initiatives, developing sales plans, setting targets and objectives, monitoring performance, and implementing effective sales strategies. Collaborate with sales team members to optimize sales processes, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
Although a remote position, initial in-market travel will be extensive. Out-of-state and international travel will eventually be required.

Skills & Qualifications
Must reside in Florida.
Enthusiasm and aptitude for working with a small company to grow, building a sales team and distribution network to achieve growth targets.
Uphold company standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service in all interactions and transactions.
A can-do attitude and willingness to lean into whatever it reasonably takes to get the job done.
Proven experience (7-10 years) in wine sales and sales leadership roles.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve targets. Sales leadership and personal sales experience are required.
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and market expansion.
Strong MS Office and/or Google Workspace skills.
Attention to detail is a table stakes.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, as are industry-related certifications.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the state as needed.
Lifting up to 40 pounds.
Successfully pass a background check.
