Job description
Nesco Resource has an opening in Brunswick for a Operations Manager for a large distrobution company in our area. Our Client is looking for long term Candidates who is reliable and hard working.
Mon - Thurs 7:30 - 4:30/ Fri 7:30 to 2:00pm.
Starting pay is $17.50 hr.
Position Description :
The Operations Lead is responsible for managing and monitoring resources assigned to complete daily fulfillment activities (Order Fulfillment, Booth Fulfillment, Shipping and Receiving). The operations lead will direct resources, follow established process / procedures and ensure that productivity and quality standards are met.
Experience: This position requires at least 5 years of experience working in fast-paced Fulfillment/Shipping/Receiving operations (warehousing, logistics or distribution) with some level of leadership responsibility. High School diploma or equivalent is required. College degree or some college credit preferred. The Operations Lead is also required to have some experience working with warehouse management systems and processes.
Position Guidelines :
This position provides daily leadership for the Fulfillment operations and the individual will act as the floor leader the assigned associates who execute the assigned tasks.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Ensure that all daily activities are completed
- Ensure that fulfillment operation runs at peak efficiency and that all SLA's and metrics are met
- Provide coaching to assigned associates
- Ensure that performance and quality standards are met
- Ensure that all training and compliance requirements are met
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to delegate tasks and take responsibilities for the deliverables of others
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Skills Required :
- Operational leadership abilities
- PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of mid-size warehouse management systems
- Strong organizational skills with aggressive follow-through
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and lift up to 50 pounds
Skills Desired: - Fulfillment experience in either E-commerce or Retail
- Shipping experience in either E-commerce or Retail
- Experience working in conjunction with a print operation
