Our Senior Information Systems Analyst, EDI Specialist is instrumental in working towards our purpose every day!!
The Senior Information Systems Analyst, EDI Specialist is a technical leader, responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and integrating complex information systems within our organization, including in-depth analysis of system architecture, troubleshooting intricate technical issues, and managing, implementing, and optimizing Electronic Data Interchange processes. This position focuses on analyzing and improving existing systems, ensuring optimal functionality, and leading efforts to integrate new technologies. It also plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless data exchange and communication between internal systems and external partners. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align information systems with organizational goals and industry best practices.
This is a remote position. Ability to travel to any of our facilities may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Lead efforts to integrate new technologies, applications, and databases into the existing system landscape
- Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and data architects to align information systems with business objectives.
- Work together to establish seamless integration pipelines and ensure compatibility across platforms
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing information systems to identify areas for improvement
- Create comprehensive technical documentation outlining system configurations, data flows, and integration points
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and trading partners, to understand and address EDI requirements
- Collaborate with teams to integrate EDI solutions into existing systems and applications.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve EDI processes
- Work with external vendors for system solutions, software, or services and select, negotiate with, and manage EDI service providers and vendors
- Provide advanced technical support for information systems, resolving issues promptly
- Ensure information systems comply with security standards and regulations
- Implement measures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, information technology and/or system analysis is required.
- Five years experience as a Systems Analyst with enterprise-level experience in project management of information technology projects or management and/ or administration of complex business software suites
- A minimum of three years experience in the design of major business computer systems or implementation and/or management of major software systems is required
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EDI standards, data mapping, and process automation
- Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies
- Strong understanding of system optimization, scalability, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of integration technologies, APIs, middleware solutions, and data management
- Proficiency in working with databases, including data modeling, querying, and database management systems
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical issues efficiently
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges
- Experience managing or contributing to projects related to system analysis, optimization, and integration
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data mapping and transmission
- Willingness to stay informed about advancements in technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes
