Job description

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a leader in custom modular building design and construction firm in it's search for an experienced, certified MIG Welder . This direct hire role is responsible for performing production floor welding and layout of sub weldments or final weldments while meeting production standard rate for each weldment. If you have at least 3 years experience in MIG Welding, with certification, we encourage you to apply today.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform MIG welding of steel parts 

• Use cranes and rigging to move parts and weldments 

• Use various cutting machines like plasma and oxyfuel cutting torches 

• Use various powered hand tools 

• Complete and maintain required paperwork, records, and documentation 

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions 

• Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components 

• Assist in training other employees in safe and efficient use of jigs/fixtures 

• Rotate jobs to meet standard rates and schedules 

Requirements 

• Minimum of three (3) years of MIG welding experience 

• Must be a certified welder 

• Must be able to read blueprints and have knowledge of weld symbols 

• Must know fractions and decimals, including fraction conversions 

• Must be able to read and use tape measure, steel rules, and squares 

• Ability to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures within a job area 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

• Blueprint reading
