Pay Range: $39.46/hr - $46.37/hr - $53.27/hr
*Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $46.37/hr, based on applicable experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
The IS PACS Administrator's primary role is to support the imaging departments by maintaining a complete understanding of the Radiology and Cardiology PACS applications as well as third party applications that enable Radiology and Cardiology workflow. The IS PACS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of PACS including (but not limited to) imaging workflow, archiving, quality control and image/report routing. The IS PACS Administrator works closely with the Radiology and Cardiology department managers and supervisors to ensure the quality of DICOM digital image data within the imaging system from multiple modalities throughout the organization. The IS PACS Administrator is responsible for providing high level support for these systems by managing errors, performing quality control and providing feedback to users to improve the processes causing the errors. The IS PACS Administrator participates in evaluating new information technology systems that focus on optimizing organizational application functions, in support of the organization's business goals. Utilizing this knowledge, the IS PACS Administrator will work with the technical staff within Information Services and other Enloe resources to integrate technical expertise and business/clinical understanding to create solutions for applications software/hardware used by our customers. The IS PACS Administrator must be able to understand and perform Radiology and Cardiology workflow, business analysis, and project management.

The IS PACS Administrator will be required to write support documentation following standard IS protocols and have working knowledge of HIPAA and other IT security and privacy best practices. Knowledge of a variety of clinical and non-clinical applications is required. In addition, the IS PACS Administrator may be required to participate in an on-call rotation as determined by their Manager.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technician (ARRT) certification and two years' experience working in a Radiology or Cardiology environment OR


- Previous experience in a hospital IT environment or in an enterprise IT environment


Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT or Business-related field or Healthcare related field; and
- Three years' experience working directly with Information Technology and Process Improvement; and
- Five years of PACS Administrator experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Previous McKesson PACS System/Application support and analysis in the healthcare industry
- Good understanding of hospital applications
- Prior information systems experience, including system installations/upgrades, analysis & support of clinical or business information systems

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION:
Minimum:
- Epic certification in Radiant and Cupid (within 12 months of hire) (certification is only required if not currently ARRT certified)


SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able to apply logic to the analysis, development and implementation of complex workflow and information system solutions and be able to successfully implement these solutions in assigned area. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential for working in a complex and varied work environment. Conflict management skills are necessary to resolve conflicts within and among departments and disciplines throughout the Organization and with physicians/clinicians. Change management skills are necessary to lead implementations that will result in significant changes to work flow process for associates, physicians, and physicians' office staffs throughout the organization. Knowledge of operations and regulatory requirements pertaining to assigned areas of responsibility. Proficient in use of project management, word processing, flowcharting, database, and electronic mail software applications or the ability to learn in a short period of time. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must comply with HIPAA Regulations and company confidentiality policies and procedures. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
