Start Rate of Pay:
In addition to the hourly rate below all classroom staff will receive an additional monthly stipend through June 2024 if you are a level 1 or higher in Maine Roads to Quality:

We are searching for Teachers! We currently are looking for:
1 Early Head Start Teacher in a 6 hour classroom (40 hours a week) Year Round This position is responsible for infants (6 weeks to 18 months of age) in an Early Head Start setting, developing and administering developmentally appropriate activities and care.
1 Head Start Teacher (40 hours a week) Year Round This position is responsible for 3-5 year olds in a Head Start classroom, developing and teaching children, preparing them for kindergarten.
Program Overview: Promise Early Education Center is the foremost early learning program in Central Maine that is dedicated to educating the whole child and preparing that child for success in school and opportunity beyond. Our Agency provides a safe, engaging, and empowering place for children to learn and grow; offers a results driven educational curriculum taught be degreed teachers; and supports the engagement of parents and caregivers in their child's learning through partnership, communication and a commitment to the parent as primary educator.
Qualified applicants will have experience working with infants and toddlers and a minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
