Job description
The candidate will be developing, managing, and supporting technical infrastructure for websites and web applications. This role will serve as the sole website developer and expert on a small team responsible for ensuring smooth technical performance and reliability across our company website for a best-in-class experience for customers and employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will plan, conduct, and coordinate technical solutions with minimal supervision. Design and deliver business critical website updates. Establish programming standards and documentation requirements, as well as review current state of system applications while preparing recommendations for system improvements.
Develop technical enterprise solutions and support to business requirements that are both responsive and optimized
Design and manipulate components/renderings, create page templates for use on the front-end such as: carousels, hero sliders, media cards, forms, embedded videos, popup notifications, etc. in Sitecore 10.2 CMS while following company brand guidelines and conforming to ADA compliance
Follow search engine optimization best practices, enabling tracking/tagging for analytics and debugging of complex cross browser CSS, HTML issues to meet site audit goals, page by page
Update functionality across our sites for a better user experience, such as adding/editing product search filters and product tags, along with improving site search and page load speed
Possess an appetite for learning the latest technologies and propose modern fixes or alternative solutions in conjunction with Hussmann’s standards
Assist in identifying gaps between business requirements and standard functionality by working with product leaders
Configure, setup, and test changes to code in development, test, and production environments, following change/service request protocol
Implement front-end content changes as needed, working alongside a dedicated content specialist (text/image updates)
Collaborate with IT to document and perform periodic maintenance in accordance with standard business security processes
Communicate clearly with others what updates were made and their added value to various business segments
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience
Minimum three (3) years of development experience with web authoring tools
Minimum six (6) years without degree
Development using a ASP.NET web application (Sitecore 10.2): .NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and C# will be essential
Extensive multi-tier application web-services architecture, web application, and API support experience
Experienced with Unicorn, Solr/SearchStax, SQL server/queries, and PowerShell
Ability to manage and prioritize projects using a ticketing system
Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and Blob Cloud services for bug ticketing, documentation, and asset storage (or similar tools)
Strong problem solving abilities
Have an owner mindset by providing confident communication of progress on deliverables in occasional meetings with leadership
Preferred:
Microsoft Certifications are a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of Helix design principles.
B2B experience a plus, but not necessary.
Sitecore Certification for creating bug tickets in Sitecore – if not certified we will provide certification for you.
Knowledge of marketing automation by integrating tools like Microsoft CMS & Dynamics.
Knowledge of Cloudflare and Azure Front Door for website security.
Experience with Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google API tools for maps.
Experience with SiteImprove for ADA compliance.
