Job Overview:
At Rolfson Oil, finances are the fuel that keeps our company moving. We are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to keep our company financials on track with unfaltering accuracy. We are looking for successful people with a passion and strong understanding of accounting related to cash, receivables, payables, revenue, expenses, fixed assets, and sales tax liabilities among other financial transactions within the organization. This player will play a key role within the department, keeping the company’s financial records complete and accurate daily.
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting in a wide variety of special projects. The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and must be a team player that can be self-directed, willing to pitch in wherever needed to meet and exceed the expectations of our executive members. MUST have strong data analytics skills mixed with accounting and/or finance experience.

Job Duties - Prepares and maintains all general ledger journal entries for Rolfson Oil and other entities as assigned
- Reconciliation of bank accounts daily, researching discrepancies and stale checks
- Reviews and reconciles revenue and purchases daily, invoices sales as needed
- Month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset listing
- Data entry and daily use of QuickBooks, Excel, and banking portal
- Post payroll entries
- Special projects as directed by the Controller, CFO and other Management team members
- Maintain month-end cash reconciliations and other financial reporting
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Prepares and files fuel and sales tax returns
Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor’s of Accounting
- Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management
- PC Proficiency, Productivity, Verbal Communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize based on company needs
- Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong work ethic and demonstrable success in meeting internal and external deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
