Job Title: BiLingual Special Education Teacher

Start Date: January 8 2023 May 24 2024

Work Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

Caseload: up to 45 Middle School Students

We are recruiting a full time Special Education Teachers that have a desire to work with school aged students whose grades can range from 6 th to 8 th grade. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for effectively collaborating with the student s academic support team to compose Individualized Education Plans for each student on the caseload. The Special Education teacher will also be responsible for monitoring student goals and preparing quarterly progress reports.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating lessons in a manner that will be effective despite a students disability.
  
• Providing support for students both academically and personally where necessary.
  
• Respecting students and treating them with dig nity in the learning environment.
  
• Preparing lessons in advance with the needs of learners in mind.
  
• Designing activities to achieve the learning goals of the students.
  

Requirements

• A bachelors degree in education or higher education.
• Professional Educators License with Special Education LSB1 endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with special needs.
• Must be able to speak Spanish fluently
• Knowledge of teaching practices for students with special needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
