Job description
We are seeking a Project Controls Manager to support one of our clients in the transportation sector. The successful candidate will work directly with the client at their location and function as a key member of several project teams. The role involves managing and coordinating workload fostering client and project team relations and identifying opportunities to enhance the client s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide objective analysis and sound judgment to evaluate and report project performance from concept study to construction & startup.
- Manage control forecast and report cost and schedule performance data for projects throughout a client s portfolio of projects.
- Review baseline and progress schedules perform time impact analysis recommend negotiation strategies identify opportunities for improving performance analyze EVM data and support any other needs as may be identified by our client(s).
Requirements
Required Skills and Talents:
- BA/BS in Construction management Architecture Civil or related field.
- Proven knowledge of transportation and general building related scopes of work and change management.
- Ability to lead and participate in contract financial and schedule negotiations.
- Exceptional skills in the development creation review and analysis of schedules in either Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform precon and construction cost estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Characteristics:
- A professional accreditation in scheduling construction or project management.
- At least 6 years or more of construction including field experience.
- Proficiency in at least two transportation related subfields: light rail highway/roadway buses or bridges.
- Previous experience as an owner s representative.
