Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Commercial Strategy Intern to join our team.
As a Commercial Strategy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our commercial strategy team and gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the intersection of business strategy, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices in commercial strategy and business development to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights and recommendations on market positioning, target segments, and go-to-market strategies.
- Analyze and interpret data from various sources (ACT, FTR, RigDig, POLK, Transport Topics etc. to generate actionable insights for decision-making.
- Support the development of sales forecasts, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct market sizing and market share analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Support the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives & Key results (OKRs) to measure commercial performance.
- Assist in analyzing sales performance data and customer insights to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Create interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to help analyze historical data.
- Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Provide support in ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned by the management team.
Job Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, information systems or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Power BI, Salesforce.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Familiarity with market research techniques and tools.
- Prior experience in commercial strategy, business development, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
