To be successful in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in aerospace, systems, or another related engineering field, applied knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems, and some experience with the installation or support of products within the aviation industry.

Our Field Service Engineers' responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating recognized expertise in the specifications, capabilities, installation, and operation of avionics, with an emphasis on Avidyne products.
• Answering pilot and installer technical inquiries regarding Avidyne products.
• Documenting and tracking support cases, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Serving as liaison between dealers, pilots, and associates of other departments within Avidyne.
• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting pilot or dealer training gaps or product failure trends.
• Reviewing special circumstances and authorizing warranty service when deemed appropriate.
• Reviewing owner's manuals, installation manuals, and maintenance manuals for completeness, technical accuracy, and areas prone to misinterpretation.
• Representing Avidyne at industry and professional meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
• Creating knowledge-based articles/instructions for repeat issues.
• Supporting Avidyne avionics training both internally and externally.
• Serving on a rotation for 24/7 aviation technical support coverage.
