Education: High School or GED Years of Experience: Five (5) years of experience directly related to: industrial, facility, and personal safety and environmental programs; Army safety and environmental publications and regulations; and drafting policies and procedures from DoD, federal, state, and local government safety and environmental regulations for application at the organization level. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance. Experience directly related to industrial, facility, or personal safety and environmental programs. Skills Needed: Must be able to work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit. Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook desired. Duties: Position supports testing in the ECL Division. Responsibilities include HAWG attendance, TSRA coordination, safety training, training documentation, SOP review and tracking. Work Procedure review and tracking, facility inspections, accident investigations and daily presence in the workplace to help ensure the implementation of safe practices and SOP compliance. The Safety Officer will be responsible for conducting monthly Division Safety Meetings. Desired Qualifications: Preferred familiarity with Army safety and environmental publications and regulations and have experience in drafting policies and procedures from DoD, federal, state, and local government safety and environmental regulations for application at the organization level. Observant of indications and warnings of potential safety issues, emergency situations; able to react and report calmly, clearly, concisely. Professional written and oral communicator. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work well in a team. BA/BS preferred.
