Job description
Position Description: Responsible for providing transportation as assigned by the Program Center Manager or Vocational Program Specialist to meet the needs of the Villagers, including, but not limited to transportation to/from their job, on campus transport and transport to commercial transportation sites. This is an hourly position and requires a minimum of 8 hours per day to complete job duties.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of proven safe work experience, preferably in driving. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transports off-campus workers to and from their work sites.
- Transports Villagers to common carriers (airport, bus station, train station).
- Transports Villagers to salons for haircuts and other grooming needs.
- Shops for needed Villager items, taking Villagers as feasible and assisting with appropriate shopping skills as needed or assigned.
- Runs errands and shops for Village as assigned.
- Assists with Saturday programming as assigned.
- Maintains vans for cleanliness, interior and exterior; prepares work orders on van as needed.
- Provides input regarding behavioral support plans, goal attainment, and participation. Documents in the electronic record system.
- Assists with other programs as assigned.
- Assists with Villager hygiene as needed.
- Provides monitoring at dining hall as assigned.
- Attends all required and assigned trainings and meetings.
- Completes documentation in the electronic record system.
- Maintains the vehicle travel binders including updating forms and replacing logs per policy and procedure.
- Checks first aide boxes to ensure there are no out of date supplies and that nothing is missing. Also ensures that the fire extinguisher is available.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service and care needs of the facility residents.
The quality of job performance will be evaluated at least annually using the Annandale Village performance evaluation process.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, count, add, and subtract. Must also be able to read maps, time schedules and directions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands; use fingers; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, and walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl. Employee is required to lift up to 25 pounds and/or move up to 75 pounds (with assistance). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to transport (drive) and assist Villagers in and out of vehicles. Employee is required to perform CPR/First Aid.
