Job Description
Program Dates: Summer 2024 (May 20 – Aug 9)
Time Commitment: Full-time
Format: On-site (Carrollton, GA)
Summary
The Industrial Engineering Co-Op will provide engineering support for the Corporate Industrial Engineering team. They will interact with wire and cable manufacturing plants to drive continuous improvement.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and/or audit method standards for production activities
Perform time study observations to establish and/or validate production standards
Capital project requests, justifications & capital expenditure reporting
Sales & Production data reporting
Maintain accurate and current training documentation for SOPs and new employee onboarding
Work with a variety of systems including but not limited to SAP, CableBuilder, Advaris, and JIRA
Eligibility Requirements
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong data analysis skills
The co-op will need to still be enrolled in school during these semesters to be eligible
Ability to work 40-hour work weeks during each rotation
Willingness and ability to commit to a minimum of 2 rotations
