Job description
Do you love helping to make dreams come true and create happy memories? We are looking for motivated Banquet Servers to ensure the perfect execution of dinners, parties, and events that require food and beverages.
Banquet servers work directly with the Management Team or hosts, and address and fix any questions or concerns that come up before or during service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise banquet functions to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Set-up and breakdown of room
- Act as the contact person for the guest hosting the event
- Ensure compliance with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness
- Check buffet tables/receptions/coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness, and layout
- Ensure that unused food is returned to the kitchen, that designated condiments are broken down and properly stored (butters, cream, dressings, etc), and all banquet supplies are returned to designated storage areas
- Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Customer-Service: friendly and courteous
- Flexible Availability: Ability to work all hours required to meet demands of scheduled functions
- Attention to Detail: Banquet servers have to keep their eyes on a lot of elements: food standards, event setup, food presentation, etc.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Dealing with conflict and creating a solution quickly
- Speaking Skills: accurately communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders, and speak with customers clearly.
- Stamina: Banquet servers can expect long days around hot cooking elements, much of it on their feet
