About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Project Developer. You will play a critical role in leading and managing the development of renewable energy projects, from initial analysis to completion. You will be responsible for all aspects of the development process, including:
Land acquisition: Securing land control through negotiations and agreements with landowners.
Interconnection and permitting: Coordinating applications and navigating the complex regulatory landscape.
Environmental reviews: Managing environmental studies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Project management: Overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring it meets deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
As the face of your projects, you will:
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, community members, regulators, and officials.
Communicate effectively with internal and external teams, providing clear and concise information.
Drive complex negotiations and independently find solutions to project challenges.
Make sound decisions based on data and experience, even in challenging situations.
You will also collaborate closely with other internal teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Interdisciplinary collaboration: Engage with various departments like development, interconnection, legal, and finance.
Integration and innovation: Integrate feedback from diverse teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
Leadership and mentorship: Guide and support the professional development of junior team members.
We are seeking someone with:
Strong academic background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, business).
Extensive experience: 6+ years of experience in wind and/or solar development, with a successful track record of leading projects through key milestones.
Technical expertise: Deep understanding of the full development cycle of renewable energy projects, including permitting, regulations, and power markets.
Strong leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, negotiate effectively, and make sound decisions.
Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborative spirit: Thrives in a team environment and enjoys working collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Location:
The primary location for this role is our Boulder, Colorado office. While remote work options are considered for the right candidate, regular travel to the office will be required.

Compensation:
Target base salary: $140,000 - $170,000
Attractive bonus potential
