As a Server in our Food and Beverage department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service experience to our members and their guests. Your responsibilities include taking food and beverage orders, serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and ensuring a delightful dining experience. Additionally, you will contribute to the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment, mentor new servers, and possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Chef's menu.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum of 18 years of age (21 if serving Alcohol).
- One year of dining service experience.
- Fluent communication in English with members/guests, management, and co-workers.
- Legible communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Food and beverage knowledge, including wine and spirits.
- Certification in liquor, wine, and food service.
Desirable:
- Some college education.
- Previous culinary training.
- Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
- Certification in alcohol awareness program.
- Certification in C.P.R.
- Knowledge of restaurant computer systems.
Skills:

- Understanding and meeting member/guests' service needs.

- Suggestively selling menu items, beverages, and wines.

- Demonstrating a full knowledge of the menu and ingredients.
Physical Requirements:
This position is active and requires:
- Regular talking and hearing.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, occasional kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
- Frequent lifting of products weighing up to 25 pounds.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code.
- Be knowledgeable about all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes.
- Suggest wines based on cuisine or member/guest preference.
- Know all menu items, prices, preparation methods, major ingredients, and quality standards.
- Train and mentor new servers.
- Utilize the POS system effectively and input orders accurately.
- Complete assigned side work duties.
- Organize assigned station and ensure readiness before member/guest arrival.
- Greet and take orders using suggestive/up-selling techniques.
- Prepare and serve all food and beverages.
- Anticipate member/guest needs and respond promptly.
- Maintain positive guest relations and be familiar with all Club services and local attractions.
- Handle member complaints following key standards and guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned area.
- Remove soiled wares and transport them to the dish area.
- Process checks and payments accurately.
- Clear tables promptly after member departure.
- Ensure all tickets are closed and provided to management during checkout at the end of the shift.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Abide by state liquor laws.
- Assist in closing reports and walkthroughs.
- Review reserved table and member names, follow up on special arrangements.
