Description:
This role will be within a pediatric emergency department servicing patients that will use telehealth platform, Iron Bow, to communicate with the physicians. It is the core responsibility of the medical assistant to ensure the room is prepped for the patient and the physician.
While the patient is being treated it is the medical assistants duty to stay in the room and comply with any of the tasks or directions the physician asks so they can diagnose the patients. This includes checking vital signs, using the stethoscope, and checking temperatures. It is important that the person in this role is familiar in handling children and can remain calm and directive so the patients receive the best care.
