Job description
Amazing Athletes of North Broward is a leading sports program for preschool-aged children in the North Broward area. We are dedicated to introducing young children to sports in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Preschool Sport Coach.
As a Preschool Sport Coach, you will play a crucial role in teaching fundamental sports skills to children aged 2 to 6 years old. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, where children can develop their physical abilities, gross motor skills, coordination, and social skills through various sports activities. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and providing encouragement and support throughout the program.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging sports classes and activities for preschool-aged children
- Conduct engaging and interactive sports classes that focus on developing the children's physical abilities
- Promote physical fitness and healthy habits
- Supervise and ensure the safety of the children during sports activities
- Motivate and encourage children to participate and develop a love for sports
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure a cohesive and consistent program experience
- Maintain a clean and organized sports equipment area
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns or achievements
Requirements
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for sports and working with young children
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in sports-related field is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to travel to different preschool locations
- Availability to work flexible hours
