Job description

Harrisonburg Animal Hospital is the longest standing small animal clinic in Harrisonburg.  Our focus is high-quality compassionate care, and long-lasting relationships with our patients and clients.  We pride ourselves on our amazing clientele and long-time employees.  We are seeking an energetic, committed Veterinarian to join our team 40 hours a week.  We do not require after hours on-call, and do not have weekend hours.  Our associates work four days per week.  We are a family-friendly practice that is focused on both our working family but also your family needs.  The hospital was purchased by Dr. Maureen Ward in 2016, who is a 2009 graduate from VMRCVM.  She was awarded the 2022 VVMA Distinguished Veterinarian of the year because of her commitment to her staff, clients, and our community.  Our hospital has won multiple "Best of" awards in our area, because of our awesome team!  Experienced practitioners and new graduates are encouraged to apply.  Our doctors love to discuss cases together, and enjoy mentoring!

Our hospital has all updated medical equipment to include digital radiography, ultrasound, digital dental radiography, panoramic dental radiography, endoscopy, a dedicated cat treatment ward, a dedicated dental suite, two surgery suites(to include advanced orthopedics), and five exam rooms.  

We offer a competitive salary based on level of experience, with packages between $110,000-$130,000.  We also offer quarterly production bonuses with no negative accrual.  We are looking for a DVM as one of our associates purchased a practice recently.  Harrisonburg Animal Hospital has the clientele and staff for this position, so you would not need to worry about building your client base to support earning production, or worry about new hires being trained at the same time as you.  The clients and staff are already here :)
