What’s a typical day as a
Machinist ? You’ll be:
• Inspecting and troubleshooting paper rollers condition.
• Measuring bearing clearances and installing different types of bearings.
• Reading blueprints and drawings.
• Disassembling and assembling mechanical systems.
• Utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers.
• Operating hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Operating overhead cranes, tow motors, and forklifts.
• Utilizing fabrication skills (welding, machining, and finishing) - a plus.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Personally exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety.
• Have a minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have machining experience - welding and painting experience is a plus.
• Are willing to wear required safety equipment/PPE.
• Are eager to develop skills to become a multi-skill mechanic (including millwright, welding, and other fields as needed).
• Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively alone or within a team.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Can analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams.
