Advanced Manufacturing Group, is looking to hire a skilled CMM Operator/Inspector.
The CMM Operator/ Inspector is responsible for creating CMM programs and performing CMM and other types of inspections needed to meet customer quality and compliance expectations. This individual is part of a team that coordinates priorities and provides data and problem solving to improve overall product and process quality.
- Use of various gauges and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to ensure product compliance. Perform measurements on an optical comparator, height gauge, etc.
- Review protocols, qualifications, and validation procedures documented by the organization.
- Audit and monitor quality requirements by performing detailed machine goods inspections in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
- Investigate non-conformance issues or discrepant materials and assist in resolving issues to ensure final inspection clearance.
- Verify goods comply with company and/or federally regulated protocols.
- Complex surface plate layout.
- Complete inspection reports and findings for proper documentation and correction.
- Program and operate CMM equipped with PC- DMIS and/or MODUS
- Work as a team to prioritize and resolve capacity issues to meet customer expectations.
- Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 2 years of related experience in inspection of complex machined parts.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP and completing AS9102 forms.
- Experience using MODUS and PC-DMIS is essential.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and common technical information and reports, including the ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
- Automating CMM output into excel or database file is a plus.
- Utilization of Renishaw Revo scanning probes and Hexagon touchpoint probe scanning heads.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Math skills including concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Reasoning; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- FARO arm CMM and Polyworks experience preferred.
- Unipoint experience a plus.
- Surface plate layout experience preferred.
