Job description
Performance Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a qualified veterinary technician/assistant to join our team in Aiken, South Carolina. Experience working as a veterinary technician/assistant is preferred but not required. Job description Provide nursing care to equine patients to include emergency/critical care, treatment plans, preparing patients for sterile procedures, managing inventory and assisting in surgery. This position is a 40 hours/wk position working four 10 hour shifts, with 4 days off), shift is from 8pm-6am . The position includes training. Qualifications: We are looking for a certified veterinary technician, or applicants with specialized husbandry skills in lieu of education. Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively required. Must be able to work in a high paced environment. Must have excellent communication skills both orally and written. Horse handling skills are required. Must be able to work well with others. Computer skills required.
