Description

Note: This is a temporary, non-benefited position.

Guilford County Health and Human Services is accepting applications for temporary nurses to assist with the County's Public Health with various clinical activities including but not restricted to COVID-19 vaccinations and/or Back-To-School Immunizations.

The temporary positions are anticipated to last a duration of three (3) months.


Schedule will be flexible based on your availability. Hours worked will be between 20 hours and 40 hours per week.

Examples of Duties


This position will be responsible for conducting nursing services such as administering the COVID-19 Vaccine and monitoring patients after they have received the vaccine and/or administering Back-To-School Immunizations in a school setting. Other duties may be assigned depending on need.

Typical Qualifications

Registered Nurse Requirements:


Graduation from a four year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing which includes a public health nursing rotation or; Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.


LPN Requirements:


Possession of a current North Carolina license to practice as a Practical Nurse and two years of professional nursing experience.
