Job description
Overview:
The Document Control Specialist will manage the creation, revision, storage and organization processes of records and documentation based on required industry standards, best practices and company policies and procedures. This role is responsible for all critical information being stored in a well-organized and tracked library, with complete availability for up to 7 years for review by Cedar Fair personnel, 3rd party consultants or State of Ohio officials upon request.
Responsibilities:
Manages, creates and revises internal inspection documentation, as well as manages all external supplier documentation while ensuring documents remain current
Coordinates with internal colleagues and suppliers to obtain updated documentation as needed
Manages document life cycles and SOP database for department inspection processes and training programs
Ensure all associates have acceptable training documentation on file as required per their position
Develop and maintain an easy to understand matrix that allows department leadership to review qualifications and training progression by associate
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Preferred Bachelor's degree Business Administration or similar field Preferred Background in any construction or maintenance field or data entry
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
