Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner with expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes and SAP systems. The Senior Planner will play a critical role in optimizing production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements, ensuring alignment with production capacity, resource availability, and inventory targets.

2. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand forecasts, and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

3. SAP System Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP ERP system modules related to production planning, including but not limited to SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP MM (Materials Management), and SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization).

4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in production planning and scheduling workflows, leveraging SAP functionalities and best practices in semiconductor manufacturing.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure alignment of production plans with overall business objectives and customer requirements.

6. Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning and scheduling, analyze performance data, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization.

7. Training and Support: Provide training, guidance, and support to production planning team members on SAP system usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

8. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies in production planning and scheduling activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on production planning and scheduling.

Extensive expertise in SAP ERP system modules relevant to production planning, such as SAP PP, SAP MM, and SAP APO.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.

Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Location: This position is located at Fremont, with the possibility of occasional travel to other company facilities or customer sites as needed.
