Personal Injury Medical Assistant needed ASAP! Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple Savannah clinics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer phone and perform reminder calls, follow up calls, and scheduling
Prepare patients for visit by directing/accompanying patients to the examining room for the examination and/or treatment.
Triage patients and obtain vital signs
Assists health care providers during examinations as directed.
Maintains medical records for the patient
Schedule Patients for Evals and Follow Ups
Maintains treatment rooms including appropriate supplies, linens, instruments, and equipment for examination of patients on a daily basis.
Inventories and orders medical supplies
Light Phlebotomy and lab Preparation
Other duties may also be assigned by Providers/Licensed Clinical staff
MUST be able to handle change. This is a fast paced position and requires flexibility and eagerness to assist.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Medical Assistant diploma, certificate, or equivalent required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant
Experience in Pain Management, Orthopedics, or Physical Medicine, MVA's or Personal Injury
Two years of medical assisting experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking ability.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and oral communications.
Working knowledge of HIPAA and Safety guidelines
Ability to interact effectively with patients/families/co-workers.
Punctual and dependable.
