Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst - Data Management is responsible for leading the efforts to define, analyze, and improve data processes and workflows within the organization. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and accessible to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Business Analyst will leverage their expertise in data analysis, business intelligence tools, and data governance principles to facilitate better data management practices and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives. Develop and automate reports and dashboards that provide critical business metrics to stakeholders.
• Data Governance and Quality: Implement and enforce data governance standards and practices to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Collaborate with IT and business units to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve data management processes and workflows. Identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements in data collection, storage, and utilization.
• Project Management: Manage data-related projects, including defining scope, setting timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between business units and IT to translate business needs into data requirements. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet these needs.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to business users on data management tools and best practices. Develop documentation and resources to assist users in understanding and leveraging data effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a similar role, with a focus on data management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data management platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data protection principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Excellent project management skills and experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Data Management (e.g., CDMP) preferred.
• Experience with SQL and database management.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
