About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a passionate leader to bring our brand to life through innovative and immersive creative content and experiences. We are seeking an individual who is customer-centric, fosters collaboration, and will cultivate highly productive cross-functional partnerships across our Urology commercial teams. The ideal leader will have substantial experience in live events, creative services, and sales enablement and activation.
The Manager, Shared Services, will have supervisory responsibilities for our copywriting, graphic design, sales communications, events, and trade show teams. This role will be a key contributor to achieving the division's business goals. This position can be based out of our Maple Grove, MN facility or our Marlborough, MA facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Formulate and execute annual and long-range global plans for the direct team; collaborate with Director to set direction to achieve overall organization objectives.
- Propose strategies and tactical plans aimed at short- and long-term revenue goals.
- Contribute to leading, guiding, and driving our creative services, sales communications, and live events towards truly omnichannel, innovative, effective, customer-centric experiences.
- Oversee team and ensure results are both measured and achieved.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by effectively leading teams in a complex environment.
- Oversee complex cross-business projects and ways of working, empowering the team to work independently, removing barriers and obstacles to ensure the team can operate in an optimally effective fashion.
- Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines, and logistics.
- Provide global understanding, consultation, and content sharing as defined by business needs.
- Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., agencies, vendor relationships, other internal departments, etc.) to ensure that our programs are seamless, innovative, effectively bringing the brand to life, and meet business objectives.
- Develop and maintain budgets while ensuring cost-saving measures.
- Evaluate program impact and reassess objectives and outcomes; responsible for continuous improvement of the team’s work; track results including identification and monitoring of key metrics.
- Ensure Urology creative services, sales comms, events, and trade show plans are appropriately aligned with other BUs and best practices are shared.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibilities and communicate information to the organization.
- Position self as an expert for assigned disciplines, setting strategies, and guiding execution.
- Effectively communicate and recommend fresh innovative and relevant ideas/plans to business partners and gain alignment.
- Play a thought-leader role by sharing knowledge and best practices with both internal and external teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience in agency, creative services, consulting, events management, etc.
- Marketing experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with the creation of marketing tactics from a design execution perspective.
- Experience with project management systems.
- Experience with modular content trends and brand activation.
- Required travel (35%); domestic and international.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
- Medical device industry experience.
- Resource management methodology.
- Prior creative services and events management experience .
- Highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset.
- Exceptionally strong collaboration skills coupled with a “team-first” leadership philosophy.
