Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating, program writing and maintaining various CNC machines. The ideal candidate should have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.Work with our staff to learn one or several pieces of CNC equipment. Work with state of the art machines and inspection equipment in a clean and friendly work environment. Spartan has a premium benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC), CNC Lathe (2-4 axis), CNC Grinder, and EDM Machine (Wire)
- Utilize calipers and micrometers for precise measurements
- Work with vision systems and surface grinders
- Read blueprints and perform machine setups for production runs
- Perform manual machining tasks and quality inspections
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with CNC machines
- Deburr and assemble machined parts
- Utilize CAD software for programming and AutoCAD for design purposes
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and machine setups for production runs
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Prior experience in quality inspection and deburring
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks
- Knowledge of troubleshooting CNC machines
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
- Excellent communication skills
- Shop math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills
