Role Description
Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for a seasonal Pool Service Staff. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best. Candidates need to be passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic about Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests.
- Follow all Dallas Country Club policies and procedures.
- Comply with the "clean as you go" policy.
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
- Be aware of work schedules.
- Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Check assigned areas prior to opening for cleanliness of tables, chairs, and workstations.
- Set up all side stations and perform assigned side (prep) work.
- Check in and out with the immediate supervisor before leaving your work area.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any questions regarding menus in a direct, concise manner.
- Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Takes members' and guests' orders, suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.
- Pick up food as applicable, be sure that tables are properly bussed throughout the meal.
- Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
- Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
- Consistently follows local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
- Perform other duties as management request to service our members/guest.
- Follow all training materials.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have TABC certification.
- One or more years of experience in general food service.
- There is an expectation for you to develop your knowledge of food and wines/spirits as a food and beverage employee of DCC.
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:
- Member focused personality
- Good physical health
- Able to work in extreme heat, depending on weather conditions.
- Be able to operate a computer and use the company point of sales system.
- Can meet the needs of our member satisfaction within company guidelines.
*Pool Opens: May 3rd
Weekends only until May 27th.
*Pools Opens 7 days starting May 27th
Pool Operating hours vary month-to-month.
Pool Closed for the season starting September 3rd.
