Job description
An R&D company in Santa Clarita is looking to appoint an EHS Manager to oversee safety. This role works closely with the Security and Operations teams. The EHS Manager will conduct safety training, incident investigations, and reporting to several regulatory agencies.
The Role:
Develop and implement EHSS programs and procedures and maintain the EHS Management System.
Assist with permitting, monitoring, and reporting in compliance with local and federal agencies.
Recommend corrective/preventative measures where indicated.
Manage environmental reporting, permitting, and general compliance
Oversee safety procedures for highly hazardous environments such as explosives and hydraulic testing
The Candidate:
3-5+ years of from the Aerospace & Defense, Oil & Gas, or Mining field
OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40 preferred
Working knowledge of AQMD, SCAQMD, CPCU, NSC, or CUPA
Ability to obtain DOD clearance
