Job description
Job Summary
The Sales Consultant at Premier GMC is responsible for providing superior customer service and building relationships with prospective clients, while helping them to identify their automotive needs and financing options. The Sales Consultant must be able to identify opportunities for sales, demonstrate a strong knowledge of the vehicles and services offered by the dealership, and drive short-term and long-term sales volume. This role is a full-time, base plus bonus based position located in Rittman, Ohio.

Responsibilities
- Greet and meet customers on the sales floor in an engaging and friendly manner and establish an initial rapport
- Present the features and benefits of company vehicles to customers
- Discuss automotive financing options and challenges and present solutions
- Partner with finance and insurance departments to ensure proper vehicle and customer paperwork
- Follow up with customers after the sale to maximize customer satisfaction and customer loyalty
- Stay current on industry trends, vehicles, services, and accessories
- Follow all company procedures regarding sales
Requirements
- Sales knowledge/experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to comprehend a customer’s needs and present solutions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel
