Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Radiologic Technologist performs X-Rays for diagnostic purposes. Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
Covid-19 vaccination requirements:
All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment. If you completed your primary series early boosters,but have not received the most recent booster,you will be required to get the most recent booster and mask until completed if hired.
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
- Provides verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
- Explains procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.
- Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Positions radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
- Takes X-Rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
- Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order.
- Reports equipment malfunctions to Clinic Director.
- Performs related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, complete billing, and maintain procedure logs.
- Retrieves radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record.
- Maintains adequate radiologic supplies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education and Expereince:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Must maintain a current Diagnostic Radiologic Technology certification by the California Department of Public Health.
- Must maintain a current Radiologic Technologist credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Health Association.
- Must have at least 2 years of radiology experience in General Radiology.

- Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Friendly, cheerful and helpful to patients and others.
- Ability to meet patients and others’ needs while following office policies and procedures.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to do light or medium lifting (20-50 pounds).
- Prolonged periods of standing, typing and sitting at a computer.
