Job description
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. At this ABA job level, the RBT is primarily responsible for direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill- acquisition and behavior reduction. RBTs also collect data and provide support when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collects treatment plan data
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, center, and community based environments
- Applies feedback and training on Registered Behavior Technician performance given by the lead BCBA or BCaBA
- Provides behavior support inside and outside of the home or classroom when applicable
- Attends a variety of training sessions and other related company meetings
- Adheres to applicable laws, rules, and regulations specified by regulatory agencies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training workshops.
- Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate students of psychology, social work and education
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Registered Behavior Technician with the BACB
- Bachelor's Degree or 48 credit hours towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior problems
- Excellent communication skills
Services will be performed in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area of the following seven (7) counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties
Salary Commensurate with experience
