As a Counter Sales Associate, you will help our customers purchase the right lighting solution to fit their needs. We are looking to fill a position in our N Scottsdale location near the Frank Lloyd Wright and the Greenway Hayden Loop.

• $35,360-$39,520/yr + monthly bonuses and semiannual company profitability bonuses

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have

• 2 years counter sales experience in the lighting or electrical distribution industry.
• Associate's Degree preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation and ability and willingness to occasionally travel to other store locations as needed.
• Proficiency in typing and using a keyboard/computer
• Lighting or electrical distribution industry experience a plus but not required

Position responsibilities

• Assist our customers in the selection and purchase of lighting supplies
• Process sales orders in our system and retrieve purchased items from the stockroom
• Assist customers that call in to the store with questions and other requests for information
• Maintain a presentable store appearance and orderly work-space
• Perform stockroom activities such as shipping, receiving, stocking, cycle counts and other duties as requested.
• Complete company provided NAILD LS-1 training
• Offer excellent customer service
• Research and develop solutions for customer's lighting needs to drive sales
• Willingness to drive to other locations on occasion to fill in as scheduling requires

Physical Demands

• Effective communication skills, in person and on the phone, to efficiently and accurately process work
• Use hands and fingers to manipulate keys on a keyboard and handle objects both large and small
• Perform frequent physical duties, including lifting/handling/moving of objects typically under 30 pounds but may be up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Ability to reach, stretch and grasp to select items off of shelving, pallets, etc. and efficiently organize products
• Ability to operate all manual and power equipment, including but not limited to hand truck or power jack
• Physical conditioning to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to read and interpret small print
• Long range vision to be able to identify objects and to drive a motor vehicle
